Self-pouring beer heads to Mercedes-Benz Stadium

AiFi and GS Draft System Solutions have partnered to launch frictionless draft beer pouring in the Michelob Ultra Grill Market at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The two companies’ tech integration enables fans to pour and pay for their own draft beers, in addition to the hot food, candy and packaged snacks the market already offered.

AiFi is one of the top-three checkout-free market providers (along with Amazon Just Walk Out and Zippin) and has the highest number of autonomous stores deployed globally, owing to its big presence in the international grocery world. Customers insert payment to enter an AiFi store, then grab their items, or pour their beer, and exit at their leisure. GS Draft’s Self-Serve TapWalls, featuring draft tech from QuickTap, sync with AiFi’s computer-vision camera system to know when and how much fans are pouring from draft beer taps, then charge fans without any waiting in line or scanning to pay. GS Draft was involved with the first such deployment of self-pouring draft beer last year, in a project with Zippin and DraftServ at Capital One Arena and Gillette Stadium.
